If you don’t already know about the Beale Park Boat and Outdoor Show, it is a three day event on the banks of the river Thames known as “Britain’s most relaxed boat show”. It really is a fantastic event with a wide variety of boats available to view, from 53ft vintage motor yachts to small canoes powered by cordless drills! Boatbuilders and craft stalls surrounded the lake, which was a hive of activity every day.

Landamores were at this year’s show in tow with Henley Sales and Charter, our agent, exhibiting a new Mayfly 16 day launch called “Nymph”. This Andrew Wolsteholme design caught many eyes over the course of the show and we are pleased to say that we had a good amount of interest, resulting in a number of boats sold. The electric propulsion was what really attracted people, the silent running of a boat at 4mph was more than enough to convince the public that electric boating is the future, and everyone was very impressed by the compact design of the Mayfly’s Torqeedo pod motor.

We are sure to be back next year with more hand-crafted boats to show off and hope to be able to give everyone an insight into the full range of beautiful launches and tenders available from Landamores.0
