It is that time of year again when the early morning mist hangs over the river like a seductive veil, spreading out into the surrounding fields and woods until the sun appears, high enough in the sky to gently unmask the sheer beauty of the autumn hues reflected in the low seasonal sunshine.
It is also that time of year that our crane pad gets busy lifting out and putting to bed our winter storage, maintenance and refit boats. We have some interesting work coming in this winter, including full re-varnish and re-paints, re-planking on a traditional broads cruiser and a complete new wooden build of a 30ft motor launch.
We had perfect weather last week to launch and test our newest Mayfly 21, Elizabeth. In a change from our classic Mayfly with all their exquisite varnished mahogany brightwork, this electric launch has been designed with minimal maintenance and ease of ownership in mind. Composite teak decks, a ten year antifoul system and an E-propulsion sealed for life pod motor connected to lead carbon gel batteries, this fully electric launch makes ownership a breeze. Ten to twelve hour range at river speeds and a spacious cockpit for 12 people she fits the bill for a hire boat, day boat and family fun alike. options to personalise in terms of specification and colours makes each boat as individual as its owner.

On Saturday 29th October we are open to the public. come down to take a short trip on Mayfly 21 Elizabeth, enjoy a workshop tour and see how we steam bend the coamings on the classic Mayflies, scarf and laminate structural timbers on a new wooden build and see some of the classic boats that Landamores have built in their 100 year history, or jus come and buy a coffee and pastry from Greenwave coffee company and have a chat about boats. We will even have some launches for you to buy on the day.
